Walkthrough and Overview

Fairways Marine (English Builder) has taken the traditional trawler hull and deck and stuffed it full of great amenities to create a safe and comfortable cruising boat that is ideally suited for Pacific Northwest cruising waters.  The exterior lines of the Fisher/Fairways 38 carry a high sheer with a large freeboard forward.  This, together with a moderate bow flare, assure not only a dry deck, but minimal spray reaches the wheelhouse steering station.  It is a combination, which when coupled with the fairly deep keel, gives some lift at higher-than-displacement speeds and keeps the roll to a minimum when taking seas abeam.  Bottom line: she is tough and the ride is comfortable.

Below decks, the Master Stateroom is forward, featuring a wide 6'6'' V-berths and spacious hanging lockers and cabinets. Aft starboard is a roomy head with separate shower stall. Opposite the head is the great stateroom with a double guest berth and hanging locker.

The galley is well thought out, bright, and functional, including the Norcold refrigerator/freezer, Force 10, 3-burner stove with oven, and oversized dual stainless sinks as well as a large microwave/convection oven. The galley is open to the aft salon and the view is spectacular!  Panoramic windows surround the comfortable L-shaped settee making dining and entertaining with friends a pleasure.  The woodwork and joinery is excellent and well-maintained and the upholstery and cushions are in great shape.

The wheelhouse is located forward of the galley.  If you liked the view from the salon, you will love the view from the helm.  Comfortable seating, chart table, radar... this boat is really well thought out!

On decks, the trawler layout gives you a secure feeling that few other boats can match.  Twenty inch tall bulwarks topped with lifelines give you 36-inches of protection between the stainless steel bow pulpit and the teak taffrail.  The teak decks are in great shape and will give you secure footing. The side decks are roomy and secure.

The engine room is located beneath the galley and salon and can truly be called an engine room!  Clean and well organized. In addition to the British Ford Lehman Sabre 120 hp diesel engines, the room contains the Westerbeke 4.4KW genset, Xantrex Inverter, Diesel heater and 8 deep cycle batteries.

Fairways Marine is known more for it's Fisher Motor Sailors, but it also built 25 of these sturdy Trawlers which are particular popular in Europe.
